Random Stuff to Check Out

I have a habit of posting random stuff in the IVLE Discussion Forum for CS3216 in past classes. One student suggested that instead of posting them in IVLE to post them on this blog. I will still continue to post random stuff in the IVLE Discussion Forum this year, but what I will also do is to continue adding stuff to this list as we go along. Thanks to the Internet, there is so much knowledge and wisdom out there that's accessible with a click of a button. It would be criminal not to learn from them. :-)

    great videos tho, the last video, stanford one is the only thing that's stopping me from deciding where i want to go for noc.

    on one hand, i want to see how's the situation in beijing/china is like, on the other, i want to learn from all these experienced ppl at stanford, like tom kosnik and tina seelig. tough choice =(

    Yep, I meant "forward in time".

    I think China is where the money is for the next decade. Perhaps you can see how much you can learn from the Stanford folks via the online videos.

    You might not have to be physically there to learn stuff.

    Actually, it's quite different talking to them and listening to them on video. I actually learnt quite alot from talking to Prof Kosnik from stanford when he came over to NUS last sem. he's an international advisor for NUS entrepreneurship centre.

    hmm, come to think about it, i think he'll be coming again next sem. i'll let the class know when he's at NUS again =)

    I've read the article about being lucky before, and I think it's quite true. When we start paying attention, or observing the world around, we can learn, serve and achieve a lot more.
